To give a talk....

A few weeks ago, the Primary was challenged to memorize the Articles of Faith. Kailin came home and promptly memorized #1. The following week, she got up in front of the entire Primary and said it at the pulpit. I was quite surprised that she didn't get shy on us. She came home with a slip asking her to say the prayer the following week in Primary, which she did, again, with no qualms at all. She then memorized #2, which she wasn't too thrilled when she wasn't allowed to go up to say it into the microphone. Well, out of the blue this last week, she asked me, "Mommy, why won't they let me give a talk in Church?" I told her they would, she just had to wait to be asked, and then she could go up and do a talk just like she had said her Article of Faith, and her prayer. She looked at me in disgust and said, "I don't mean that microphone! I want to talk at the one daddy gets to talk at!" Guess we need to start working on the testimony so that she can get her wish. Or, Kelly, if your youth speaker falls through you can always call on daughter dear to take their spot!

That is so neat! Payson our 3 year old has memorized A of F 1-12 now! It's amazing how fast these little ones learn things. When we kneel down to say prayer in the morning and at night we say an article of faith, sing a song and then the prayer. We do an article of faith each month. It has helped all our kids. When we are done with Articles of Faith we are going to move on to scriptures. You have such cute kids!
